Empowering Academic Excellence
We are dedicated to supporting academics through impactful partnerships, sponsorships and special events throughout the school year to foster a thriving education community.
Through our purpose-driven sponsorships and collaborations, we aim to encourage a love for learning, innovative thinking and supporting students to achieve their full potential. We believe that education is the foundation for a brighter future, and it is our privilege to play a role in enriching the academic experiences of students in the communities we serve.
Our commitment to the Automotive Trades Foundation (ATF) includes three annual ATF Sales, where high school students showcase and sell donated cars that they refurbish. We fuel automotive education by empowering students with sales and service skills. Additionally, we offer financing options for members interested in purchasing ATF vehicles.
The Credit Union participates in Read Across America annually. Sponsored by the National Education Association, the program aims to build a nation of readers. Each March, our employees visit local elementary schools to read to students while donating financial literacy-themed books to classroom libraries and giving bookmarks to young readers.
We proudly sponsor the Read and Hit a Home Run program with the Bowie Baysox, the Pinch onto Books program with the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs and the Frederick Keys Summer Reading Days. Partnerships between Educational Systems FCU and local ballparks empower elementary students across the state to earn free admission to games by showcasing their reading dedication. We also sponsor games throughout the summer to celebrate Most Improved Student, Educator Appreciation, the Summer Reading Program and Academic Achievement.
Annual Spelling Bees in Anne Arundel, Calvert, Charles, Frederick, Howard and Prince George's counties are important to us. Spelling Bees challenge students to spell words correctly, with one local winner earning a spot in the prestigious Scripps National Spelling Bee held each year in Washington D.C. Local winners receive prizes from the Credit Union as well.
We proudly sponsor local STEAM events in Anne Arundel, Frederick, Montgomery, and Prince George's counties annually. We’re honored to recognize students for outstanding achievements in selected project categories.
In support of the Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) Retirees Association's Toolkits, Books and Backpacks Project, we proudly donate over 2,500 rulers and 5,000 pencils each year to help economically disadvantaged students. The project supports the Extended Learning Opportunities Summer Adventures in Learning (ELO SAIL) program, which is a free four-week summer school program offered at Title I elementary schools to help students.
