Howard University Employees Federal Credit Union will be merging into Educational Systems Federal Credit Union effective November 30, 2024. This merger will significantly expand the range of services and benefits available to employees, students, alumni and family members of Howard University as well as Howard University Hospital. 

In honor of the long-standing history of Howard University and Howard University Hospital, the name Howard University Federal Credit Union, a division of Educational Systems Federal Credit Union will be used within the Howard University community after the merger. As of January 1, 2025, Howard University Employee FCU accounts will be transitioned to Educational Systems FCU.

Founded by a group of educators in 1955, the Credit Union has grown to $1.3 billion in assets and operates 13 branches. With the merger, this will expand to 14 branches, including the current Howard University location, which will remain open to serve you.
